Welcome to Willow Gate Studios — a little creative studio inspired by an even littler fictional English village called Willowbrook. Willowbrook began with artwork: stone cottages, winding lanes, old wooden gates, village shops, gardens, robins and, of course, the willow trees that have become such an important part of our world. But one picture led to another, and before long Willowbrook had grown beyond the artwork. It had a village. A bookshop. An art gallery. A farm. A post office. Homes, gardens and characters with their own stories to tell. And that is where Willow Gate Studios really began. 

One idea, many possibilities

We love creating things, but we also believe that creativity doesn't have to be complicated. An illustration created for the Willowbrook Art Gallery might become a piece of printable wall art. That same artwork might later inspire a notepad, journal, bookmark or handmade piece created here in the studio. We design our stationery to be beautiful and useful, from simple everyday notepads and lists to journals and printable pages that can be used again and again. Our handmade products are created and tested here too, using a mixture of traditional crafting techniques and modern tools such as our laser cutter. Our approach is simple: create something we love, test it properly and then find the best way to share it. 

Welcome to Willowbrook

Although Willow Gate Studios is the name above the door, Willowbrook is the world you'll find when you step through it. You'll discover countryside cottages and gardens, farms and village shops, trips to the coast and quiet corners where you might want to sit with a book for a while. Some collections will be available as digital artwork that you can download and print at home. Others will find their way onto stationery or become physical pieces made here in the studio. And Willowbrook will continue to grow. There are already new places to visit, new collections waiting in the wings and plenty of ideas scribbled into notebooks around the studio. (Usually when we're supposed to be doing something else.)

Behind all of this is a real little creative workspace where ideas are designed, printed, cut, assembled, tested — and occasionally started again when something doesn't quite work the first time. We think that's part of making something properly. We don't want to fill our shop simply for the sake of having lots of products. We'd rather gradually build a collection of things we're genuinely happy to put the Willow Gate Studios name on. So whether you've found us through our artwork, stationery, books or handmade pieces, we're very glad you've wandered through the gate.
